Fluor Tapped to Expand Ohio Uranium Enrichment Plant




In a major development for the nuclear energy sector, Fluor Corporation has been selected to expand a uranium enrichment facility in Ohio operated by Centrus Energy. The project marks a significant step toward strengthening domestic nuclear fuel production and supporting next-generation energy technologies.

Fluor has secured a multi-year contract to serve as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partner for the expansion of Centrus’ American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon. The initiative is part of a multi-billion-dollar public and private investment program aimed at increasing uranium enrichment capacity in the United States.
