In a major boost to India’s precision manufacturing sector, Azad Engineering has inaugurated a state-of-the-art lean manufacturing facility dedicated to Baker Hughes. The new unit, located in Tunikibollaram, Hyderabad, marks a significant milestone in the strategic partnership between the two companies.
The advanced facility spans approximately 7,600 square meters and is designed to support high-precision, high-volume production for industrial and energy technology applications. Built with cutting-edge infrastructure and integrated quality systems, the plant aims to deliver components with micron-level accuracy while maintaining global manufacturing standards.
This development is part of an ongoing collaboration that began in 2018, initially focused on supplying critical rotating airfoils for gas and steam turbine applications. Over the years, the partnership has evolved into a deep strategic alliance, driven by rigorous qualification processes, advanced engineering capabilities, and consistent delivery performance.
The new facility is expected to employ around 230 skilled professionals and has been engineered for productivity excellence through optimized process flows and vertical integration. It also strengthens Baker Hughes’ global supply chain by enhancing scalability and ensuring high-quality manufacturing output.
Industry leaders and government officials have welcomed the investment, highlighting its alignment with initiatives such as “Make in India” and the growing prominence of Telangana as a hub for advanced manufacturing.
